Luftwaffe losses on the Eastern Front

The volumes show the losses suffered by the Luftwaffe on the Eastern Front, by month.

The information has been gathered, in a research work that began in 1998, from open sources and public institutions, such as the Central Archives of the Russian Federation (TsAMO RF) and other Soviet/Russian institutions, compiling, translating, editing and cross-checking with Western sources, such as Bunderarchiv and Oberkommando der LuftwaffeChef für Ausz. Disziplin, Ostfront 1941-45.

After confirming all sources and data, a single piece of data is included if the Soviet and German data match and, if the data differ, both Soviet and German data will be included.

From August 1941, the volumes include a brief description of the German Planquadrant system, adding some strategic situation maps from that time.
